Focused Internship Program
The Focus
Focused Advocacy is currently accepting resumes for full-time and part-time applicants for Summer and Fall, 2012.
The Focused Internship Program offers an unparalleled opportunity for students and recent graduates to learn more about public affairs, governmental affairs and corporate communications campaigns through day-to-day responsibilities and experiences you won’t find in any other program. The intern team plays a critical role in client work as well as internal projects, often involving research and writing components.
Candidates should have a strong work ethic, interest in Texas politics and a willingness to accept responsibility and contribute immediately to Focused Advocacy’s mission, values and goals.
Requirements
Applicants should be motivated, fast learners with demonstrated writing, research and organizational skills, preferably with a keen interest in government, politics or corporate strategy. Knowledge of and experience in Associated Press (AP) style is required.
Potential candidates also should have a strong academic background, be able to manage multiple projects at a time and maintain a professional and positive attitude to learn and participate in client-related projects.
Candidates must be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours a week to the team.
The Process
For upcoming opportunities please send a resume and cover letter to Operations@FocusedAdvocacy.com. Not every candidate is guaranteed a spot in the program, but every candidate will be contacted to interview for this highly competitive program.
